They are supposed to be:

  • Unbiased
  • Not guide you to answer the person asking the question wants you to.
  • Short
  • Not Confusing

How Did I Evaluate My Questions

After creating my survey questions, I evaluated them with Read.Write.Think's Survey Evaluation Checklist.

My Survey Questions

I decided to focus on finding out everyone's favorite STEAM activity since STEAM is new in my school this year.

Here are my questions:

  • What STEAM activity did I learn the most from?
  • What activity could I do over and over again?
  • Which of these STEAM activities was the most memorable?
  • Can you share what activity was the most challenging?

Let Your Mind Go Back Through the Year

As you think about this year what cultural events, school events and trends will you remember? There are many things that happen during a school year. Some will be forgotten almost as soon as they happen. Others you will remember even when you are grown up. Let your mind go back through the school year. What music were you listening to, what games were you playing, and what were you learning in school? Visit the pages created by your fellow students. They will each focus on a month of the year.   Make a list of the things that you remember happening that month. Type the top five things you remember in the response box below.

September Memories

Here are a few things that I remember about September: We went to the Roper Mountain Science Center to learn about plants. What I remember most is that several people brought clementine oranges. Everyone wanted to trade kids for them. Some kids were trading their desserts for them. It was really warm in September. It made it hard to want to run around outside. My favorite thing to do at recess is to play soccer. Some kids talked about wishing we had pool or even a sprinkler. I don't  think I would want to go back to class wet. You probably remember somethings that I don't. Please type in an event or memory you have below.

Remembering August

Here are some thing I remember from the first month of school: Mrs. Smith came to our class for the first time on the first day of school. We had never had a STEAM teacher at school before. Now we have two. Mrs. Thompson run the STEAM lab. Mrs. Smith comes into our room for coding. We got to share our favorite music. Many people in the class said they like Imagine Dragons. There were several people who said they liked Maroon 5. I guess we all like a wide variety of music groups. Mrs. Fallis promised everyone bubble gum if we brought back all our papers signed. I heard a number of kids say that they hoped it was cherry flavored. We get to take home our Chromebook this year. It will be so cool to take it home and work on projects from home. What do you remember most about August? Please share your memories below.
